Meet Shirley
Shirley joined our pack of senior-aged dogs in early Spring of 2023. We were introduced to her while touring the Dutchess County SPCA facility and were immediately moved by her story; an older dog with few options, whose human had passed away.
Although she was advanced in age, had a large liver tumor, a shy temperament, and was at an unhealthy weight, DCSPCA prioritized her well-being and gave her sanctuary, despite the unlikelihood of someone adopting her.
DCSPCA’s commitment to the animals in their care is extraordinary. And we are happy to report that after a year with us, Shirley is thriving, active and happy! If it weren’t for DCSPCA respecting the value of Shirley’s life, we would never have met her and she would never have experienced the love, companionship, and healthy meals she enjoys today.
We’re proud to donate half the price of this shirt to their cause with love and gratitude, for being there for our "Shirley Girly" when she had no one else ♥️.
